Fresh Fings Friday!

It's Fresh Fings Friday! One has a veritable rainbabow of exciting new things, including new fabric and a beautiful burnt orange somethingorother that's newly mine, if not quite in mine paws yet - it's actually headed first to a certain nibsmif for an architectural adjustment. This is terribly exciting - I've just done a three-day intensive statistics workshop and thoughts of adding this beauty to my small flock went a long way to keeping me sane.

Actually, speaking of longed-for things, were I not already locked into a grail or two (2!) I'd be picking up a grail or two from Britain and making the most of the Brexit-induced bargains. I very nearly added some hue-shifted Union Jack fabric to my order in honour of the day, but then realised that after a very short while (e.g. by 0900hrs Sunday) everyone will be sick to death of hearing about the damn thing..

Who else got new things this week?

Order now for bespoke pen wraps & pouches!

I'm going pro! I have set up an online webform for pen wrap orders, and continue to work on photographing my entire fabric stash. It's really exciting to be able to let you choose exactly what you want from my fabrics to create your own personalised product - I can even adjust sizing around your collection of individual pens!

If you want a custom pen wrap for yourself, please click on the tabs at the top of this site or from the links below to review the information pages and access the order form.

I am going to be exploring new product options this weekend, so should have exciting new things coming here soon. I sell prototypes at a discount so these are a great opportunity to get the first-ever item at a nice price!

In addition to making custom orders I will continue to create various combinations myself, and already have some for sale on this blog. If you have any questions, or wish to discuss potential for a completely new product that you need, please drop me a line!

SOLD! Butterflies & flowers 6-pen wrap

"Good morning!"
I love this fabric. It is bold, bright, and looks fantastic teamed with the rich orange lining - I still have my orange crush going on, and so I really enjoyed making this bright beauty! Orange is such a happy colour, I feel that no matter what drudgery the working day might have in store for you, it would be impossible to stay glum upon opening this wrap to that cheery lining. "Good morning!", it bellows to your retinas! "Wake the hell up!"

Both outer and lining fabrics are strong cotton canvas, so when teamed together make for a durable wrap for carefree use. All seams are triple-stitched for resilience. The wrap fits six large fountain pens. (Or other kinds of pens, if you're that kind of person. It's okay, I won't judge.)

Beyond that orange lining, my favourite aspect of this wrap is that I managed to get the flap and the pouch patterns to line up exactly! I'm a perfectionist in my sewing - when edge stitching I go stitch-by-stitch to ensure that these most visible seams are straight and even - so the fact that I managed to align the patterns so well gives me major geeky thrill.

Ye gods! Alignment!
This pen wrap is reserved for a wonderful gentleman who declared that I was not charging enough and sent through $15 extra - you know who you are, thank you so much! Not that extra proof of his generosity is needed, but this wrap is intended to be a gift. The recipient is very lucky to have such a great friend. :)

If you love this wrap and want a cheery good morning friend of your own, drop me a line, I'll make you one too!

SOLD! Etsuku Furuya for Kokka 3-Pen Pouch

For sale is this cute 3-pen pouch: $20 shipped within Australia.

Finished in strong decor-weight Japanese handprinted material, by designer Etsuko Furuya for Kokka, and double-lined with calico for strength and protection. All seams triple-stitched, and the patch design of the fabric is picked out in thick running stitch on both sides.

Photographed with M805s and Vanishing Point to give indication of size and fit. These pens fit completely within the pouch without poking out the top, so are completely protected from scratches and wear during transit and storage.

SOLD! 6-Pen Wrap #1

Selling my first ever 6-pen wrap! Due to its prototype status I am selling this wrap for just $20 shipped within Australia.

Finished in Amy Butler decor-weight satin cotton fabric, the wrap features complementary prints both outside and inside, and on the tie.

It is a best fit for small-medium fountain pens such as the Pilot Prera, Pilot Custom Heritage 72, Pelikan M20x & M40x ranges. It does fit my larger M805 and Vanishing Points, with complete coverage by the flap, but these would be the size limit for this wrap.

Hello!

Welcome to my little inky blob.

Here I ponder pens, play with inks, and share my sewing creations of pen wraps and pouches. The sewing is a new venture that I am really enjoying right now, and it's great to have fun making things that help others enjoy our awesome fountain pen hobby even more!

I have another blob, wherein I run too much. If you are interested in one, you are more than likely uninterested in the other. Then again, you might well be. After all, I am.

Cheers! Lisa.
